Le Caggiole: A Privileged Location

The estate is located in the heart of the Caggiole region, an area with a special vocation for the production of “Noble Wine”. It extends over a total area of just over seven hectares, six of which are cultivated with noble grapes.
The hillside terrain has a composition that is mostly “silty clay” with expansive areas with a variable concentration of stones and silty-sandy sandstone lenses.
At the foot of the hill, clastic sediments caused by erosion and the transport of hill deposits are found that are also of marine origin.
The average altitude is 350 metres above sea level.
The vineyards are very well exposed and continuously ventilated due to their hilltop position. An exceptional radiation balance and good day-night temperature ranges help to preserve the grapes’ aroma.
